But let’s get to the point. The trick to multiplying your CTR (the ratio shopping data of clicks per 1,000 impressions) is very simple: put a play button on the banner . Why? Because it is the most popular type of content on the web and people love watching videos (on average, let’s say). It is an extraordinary hook to increase the number of clicks on a banner.
Banners placed on websites are already done this way in many cases. What works there can be transferred to the world of Facebook Ads and Twitter Cards .
Designing Facebook Ads and Twitter Cards to achieve a high CTR
I have already said on other occasions that I am not a big fan of tricks because on one hand they create the illusion that everything can go much faster than it actually will. On the other hand, they sometimes always have a small “dark” side that does not convince me too much when it comes to doing business.
So if we already apply one, let’s do it correctly:The first thing. That might come to mind is that it’s a pretty hacky trick. I totally agree with you if you use it to trick people.
